Welcome to Wind Rose Midwifery

Your pregnancy, your path, our caring support and guidance.

At Wind Rose Midwifery (formerly Talbot Creek Midwives), we promote optimal birth outcomes and guide clients to have empowering birth experiences. Our team of knowledgeable and nurturing midwives provides respectful, supportive, client-centred care during the healthy process of pregnancy, birth, and the first six weeks of your postpartum experience.

Our midwife teams are available to support 24-hour emergency birthing requirements in either home or hospital births, holding privilege at London Health Sciences Centre. We are publicly funded by OHIP and regulated by the College of Midwives of Ontario.

As midwifery teachers and caregivers, we offer a safe space for our team and clients in an environment that is welcoming, accessible, and inclusive for all. No matter how the wind blows along your path, you can feel comfortable knowing we are here to help you throughout this beautiful journey.

Announcements

BORN Ontario Cybersecurity Incident

BORN Ontario is a prescribed perinatal and child registry that is funded by the province’s Ministry of Health. BORN Ontario was the victim of a cybersecurity incident earlier this year and your information may have been impacted. The incident was caused by a vulnerability in the file transfer software BORN Ontario utilized, called MOVEit.

We are among the many Ontario healthcare providers that share personal health information with BORN Ontario related to pregnancy, birth and newborn care – important healthcare encounters that can affect lifelong health. BORN collects data from healthcare providers pursuant to the authority afforded to it in the Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA). BORN Ontario uses this information to identify immediate care gaps affecting individuals, link information to appropriate care providers, perform health system quality assurance, and analyze data for emerging trends.

For specific details about the incident, and to find out if your or someone in your family’s information may have been impacted, please visit the BORN Ontario website www.bornincident.ca

We have a special portal for our clients only, the midwife will provide and grant access at their first clinic appointment

Wind Rose Midwifery was formerly called Talbot Creek Midwives. We originated in St. Thomas and we have since chosen a new name, and there are no longer any Talbot Creek Midwives practices. The former St. Thomas Talbot Creek midwifery practice has now been named Elgin County Midwives and is a separate practice of midwives.
